When the Body Remembers...
Some days simply need gravity.
Day 10 of the 12 Days of Badass Self-Care is Earthbound Grounding—a ritual for when the mind is loud, the heart is weary, or the body feels slightly unhooked from itself.
This is not about fixing anything. It’s about contact.
🌱 Why Earthbound Grounding Matters

Modern life pulls us 'off-center'
into our heads
into our screens
into performance, urgency, and abstraction
But nature offers something no person, plan, or practice can:
steady support
non-judgment
time measured in seasons, not seconds
When the body remembers it is held by something older and stronger than its worries, the nervous system softens—without effort.
🌍 The Earthbound Grounding Ritual
1. Wander Without Agenda
Take a short walk guided by intuition rather than destination.
No route. No fitness goal. No “making the most of it.”
Let your feet decide where to turn. Let curiosity—not productivity—lead.
2. Find a Place to Belong
At some point, your body will say here.
Listen.
Lay yourself down or lean on a tree
belly to Belly
chest open
turned to earth & sky
You do not need to hold yourself together right now.

3. Breathe Like You’re Not in a Hurry
No technique required.
No counting. No correcting.
Let breath arrive and leave while the earth does the heavy lifting.
Stay until something settles. You’ll know when.
🗺️ Bonus — Leave an Earth Mark
Before you rise and return, leave a small, respectful token behind:
a stone you warmed in your palm
a leaf placed with intention
a whispered word of reverence
Not to claim the land—but to acknowledge the meeting.
A quiet thank you. A recognition of relationship.

🌿 This Is Badass Self-Care
Because choosing to slow down in a culture of urgency is a form of rebellion.
Because letting yourself be supported is not weakness—it’s wisdom.
Because grounding is not passive. It is relational.
❤️ A Closing Mantra
I am held. I am connected. I belong.
